AMYRA LEON OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FT. EDUCATED LITTLE MONSTERS
Amidst the ever changing headlines Let Me Be by Amyra Leon celebrates the vibrancy of our youth in this sacred collaboration with NY based Youth Organization – Educated Little Monsters. This is an unapologetic anthem, a reminder to take up as much space as possible and revel in the sacred nature of your breath
Hip Hop
The monsta hip hop and music class is geared towards allowing the youth and young adults we work with to have full creative control over their voices and sounds they want to create. Whether it’s through words, singing, instruments, music production and more. We meet for weeks and allow them to be free with expression while talking about the things that matter to them the most. This department helps them build their voice, confidence and the ownership to create in a safe space.
Dance
ELM’s dance department focuses on creating a safe space for young artists to recreate stories and narratives that are important to them with the use of their bodies. It is important that we create a professional but nurturing dance environment prioritizing youth of color giving them the space, tools, techniques and mentorship they deserve without the competitive and overpriced norm society pushes on youth of color.
Film
It is with honor, hard work and dedication that we’ve been able to start the build up of our all black and brown led media production department. This department works hand in hand with the youth and young adults we work with to create scripts out of stories that we all sit and write and produce within our program. They also get to act and find the positions they want to play within this program, from actors, to script writers, acting coaches, directors, and videographers.
